2009 Aeroflot Open Chess Championship Winners and Results

Super Grandmaster Wesley So will joining the 2009 Aeroflot Open Chess Championship tourney in Moscow.

GM Wesley So has just arrived yesterday in the Philippines after he won the championship in Corus Chess Tournament in The Netherlands, but Wesley So will be joining the 2009 Aeroflot Open Chess Championship in Moscow, Russia on February 16, 2009.

According to Wesley So 15, he will just rest for a while then he will joining again the said tourney. It is being difficult for me because my opponent will more knowledgeable.

The bracket of Wesley So will be in centerpiece A-1 division for the players that have Elo Rating of 2550 above. The Elo Rating of So has been increase in 2647 and he aim to make it Elo rating 2700 after the year will finish, he will join more difficult tourney so that he will achieve his goal.

Aside from GM Wesley So, there are other Filipinos will join the tournament, one of them are International Master Richard Bitoon, Jan Emmanuel Garcia and Haridas Pascua.
